I have a 99 Silverado (v6 4.3, RWD)

It has a bad engine wiring harness (Mice ate anything they could before a snake moved in)

Im close to buying a harness from a 2005 Silverado, but I'm hesitating due to the fact that I've yet to confirm that I can swap them and start mine right up.

Are they compatible?

If yours is an 8 cyl it is definitely not compatible.

Get the part number from the one you are going to buy and call the dealer. They can tell you if the part number will work in your truck.
