Close but no cigar. While a toggle switch may be rated for a light bar, (10 amp max usually for most toggle switches) if the light bar is greater then that 10amp rating you'll fry the toggle switch by melting the switch plates. Your best bet is to buy a relay rated to 30 amp to power the bar. How many watts is the light bar? Golden rule of automotive is that 1 amp is equal to system voltage. So at 13.8 volts DC 1 amp will 13.8w. There for a 150w light bar will need a 15amp fuse as it consumes 10.9 amps. Consult this image here:

Simply replace the fan with your light bar. Ground the light bar somewhere with a good connection to the frame, or as most of us would do to avoid any issues, take any ground that's listed here and directly connect it back to the negative terminal of the battery!

Thanks. I've used relays a couple times before for wiring my fogs to my lowbeams, and my aux reverse lights to my factory reverse light, but I've got a toggle switch doing nothing in my dash (was used for the aftermarket fog lights before I hardwired them)

I understand most of that relay diagram except the toggle switch part.

I run one wire directly from the relay to the toggle, and another wire from the toggle to an inline fuse which then taps into one of the fuses in the drivers side cab fuse panel?

Yes. Otherwise the full current draw would be running into your cab though the switch

I'm not sure what your doing with the 3rd black wire from the toggle switch. It shouldn't be there. It looks like you are hooking it up to a ground like you are the black wire from the light bar. Unless you have a lighted toggle switch then never mind anything I just said.

We both just got educated a little haha.
It is a lighted toggle switch and I didn't know why the heck it would need its own ground till you just mentioned that, then I figured it out.

It hit me about the same time I was typing.
