Are you asking about trying to put an NNBS (2007-2013) key fob board in a 2014+ shell?

Given that they are two completely different shapes, it won't work or even be close.

The boards in the fobs of the gmt900's are the egg shaped design. They fill pretty much the entire housing.

Same on the k2xx fobs. The boards are rectangular and also fill most of the housing. So there is not any easy way to just swap them.

I'm sure if someone really wanted to and had the knowledge, they could make their own board or reprogram a board to work.

There is one other possibility, and that is a k2xx fob being able to be learned to a gmt900 truck.

K2xx= 2014-present
Gmt900= 2007-2013

a buddy of mine tried something similar with his NNBS key. he cut the key and spot welded it to the key flip device on the K2XX fob, this didn't work because that little crosshair on the new keys MUST remain to start the vehicle otherwise a security code will throw. Like posted above I think the only thing you can do is see if a K2XX fob is learnable to a NNBS.

So the K2XX trucks have those fancy switch blade key/fob dealies? My fathers 2013 Traverse has that but my 2013 Silverado didn't. I was kind of disappointed.

No they still have regular fobs and a separate key.

Just gm changed the fob to a rectangular shape instead of the older egg shaped one used since 1999. They keys also changed. They are side cut keys now. So it's just a flat key with grooves cut into the sides of the key instead of the traditional key shaped cuts
