Wake up a 5.7 TBI

Wake up a 5.7 TBI

Postby snowbiker [OP] » Dec 15 2010, 8:02pm

Hi all, I have a 1994 Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 auto, and I want to wake it up a bit.
we pull a small travel trailer and a couple dirtbikes around in the summer and need a bit more grunt.
It pulls great at low speeds but on the highway it lacks a bit.
I've been told these 350s were quite resricted from the factory and can make decent power
I don't want to twin turbo it or anything but just need more.
stuff like intake, (cold air & maybe a manifold) headers, exhaust (has 3" single now), chip, just the simple things
I'm wondering about some input from people that have done some wake-up mods on theirs and what works or dosen't, it's original never been molested at all, yet, just properly serviced

Thanks, James

Had a 97 with the 5.7 that after putting a CAI and true dual exhaust it really woke it up. I would start there and maybe grab a tuner or get a custom tune.
