Deep Low Volume Rumble

Deep Low Volume Rumble

Postby garyholl [OP] » May 20 2020, 7:10pm

So I have a 2019 with the 6.2 and I am interested in upgrading the exhaust. No headers, just everything else.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a deep rumbling sound? There was nothing in the database for 6.2.
Thanks in advance.

Two options that come to my mind are the corsa sport and the carven TR. I do not have a 6.2 but instead the 5.3.. due to price I went with the Carven TR and I really like the deep rumble. I would imagine it would sound even better on yours.

Borla makes a nice sound. I only see a Touring version and not the ATAK which is louder. Touring is what I have on my 2010 and it is near stock idle but loud when you get on it. And no drone.

Is your 2019 the LD or the new body style?

if he wants low volume, both of those would be too loud

look at a longer magnaflow or one of the mild flowmasters. before you buy, watch videos of exhaust clips for trucks with your motor

I think the TR is pretty low volume.. Only reason I got it over the R is the plan to get long tube headers.

being he has a 6.2 it may be a louder volume though.. not real sure.

Corsa then Carven, IMO. Money wise, yeah Corsa is more than the others. But you get overall higher quality and better sound IMO. Plus, no drone...some people don't know what drone is, and will claim they don't have it though. But when one brand is known for drone for years and years, it's not rocket science...lol In my case, I went from Magnaflow to Corsa, because of the drone...and that's not the worst droning brand out there.

i had to install a j-pipe to get rid of drone from my corsa system (in v8 mode). it also didn't have a deep enough of a sound for me. I now have the corsa sitting on the floor in my garage. I do think they have the best technology, maybe I got a bad one

I have a magnaflow super 40 and I feel like it is damn quiet although then again I don't have headers on it.

I'd say Borla XR-1 or Carven TR.
