I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 and someone backed into me; denting my bumper. Will a 2014-2015 2500 rear bumper fit on my 2014 1500 Silverado?? I was told conflicting answers on this. Any help is appreciated.

To my knowledge it will fit. The only difference between the 2007-2013 bumpers is the size of the plastic. The HD is thicker than the 1500 but the actual bumper is the same.

A 2015 2500 rear bumper should fit your 2014 1500.

This may seem common sense and I don't mean to hijack your thread but do yall know if the 07-13 2500 rear bumper would fit a 07.5 1500 truck? for some reason I keep finding the2500s cheaper than the 1500s. wondering if it'll fit. thanks!

Im wanting to put a 2500 bumper from a NNBS on my NBS.

Some have done it, but havent seen or heard about it too much.

This a 2014 1500 rear bumper on my 2011 Sierra 1500. I did quite the amount of research on this same question due to finding more 2500 bumpers for sale over 1500 bumpers. I was getting conflicting answers as well to the fitment of a 2500 on a 1500. I was patient and found a 1500 bumper and went with that route (it mounts directly to my truck, no mods needed). I didn't want to spend the high amount of $ for a 2500 bumper to find out it didn't mount up correct, so I waited. There were a few guys on other sites telling me the 2500 and 1500 bumper mount points are different, but I haven't confirmed that myself. If you find out, let us know!

Not sure if anyone is still wondering about this but I did mount a 2015 2500HD bumper on a 2012 1500 Silverado.... I just had to swap the 2500 bumper brackets out with 2015 1500 bumper brackets. I did tap the pocket brackets a touch to adjust fit. Now yes the top plastic cover is taller than the 1500 but will work. I had just a little trimming on plastic very minimal on sides so it would clear the body side and trimmed the 12-16" lip that's under the tailgate of which you don't see and it was only to eliminate a slight rubbing when opening tailgate... other than that it fit great. I used the 2012 license plate harness ...the trimming that I did you can't even see, looks factory.

What is the part number on the 1500 mounts you used? Were they the mounting brackets or bumper brackets that you switched?
Just want to make sure I get the right mounts before purchasing...

My guess would be that he used his stock bumper mounting brackets.

I agree, as I just changed mine out. The 2500 top bumper cover is taller and if you can get it to fit it will interfere with the tailgate. Swap out the bumper top covers and your good to go.
FYI: I have a 2500 top bumper cover for sale...
