Chrome Front Bow Tie

Postby chevygirlkc [OP] » Jul 25 2011, 4:17am

Hi everyone. I took off the Black Front and Rear Bow Tie. The Back is bowtie'less. The Front I put a chrome with border bow tie. Before putting it on, I painted the inset black to match the truck and dropped in the chrome. I really like it. I also got an oval chrome trailer hitch cover and added just a small line of black around the bow tie. I've added all new pics to my gallery under the chrome bow tie. It shows a few other things I've done/or added along the way. Check it out and let me know what you all think.
Thanks.
Kelly

Thank you. I sent Nero my old black set and new guy Blake got a smooth black rear bow tie I was thinking of putting on. After I got it at the last minute I just went with smooth tailgate.
Hey, have you ever considered taking the front air dam spoiler thing off of your truck? I did it on mine. My truck has the electric cooling fans inside so I took off the dam. It gives the front of the truck a more aggressive look that I like. But, I haven't seen any others driving around. I was just wondering if I made a boo boo??
Thanks.

I have had a couple people mention it, but I have never seen a reason to do it. Just personal preference, I suppose.

I took it off the bottm of mine also to give the appearance of more ground clearance (which it definately did), no problems with doing it that i know of. Just one less piece of plastic on the truck... :|

Chrome Front Bow Tie

Postby happyhourhero » Oct 10 2012, 4:21am

Reviving old thread... Hey chevygirlkc where did you pick up that chrome emblem? It looks great. Also, you probably had to take the gold bowtie off from the inside back of the grill right?
