Newbie here. I have a 2012 Silverado 1500. I just wanted to know if any of you have installed the GM chrome fuel door? Is it difficult to remove the stock one? What is entailed? Thank you. Kevin

I didn't install the GM Licensed chrome fuel door, but I did buy a chrome locking fuel door from eBay. The installation is not hard whatsoever, but on our NNBS, the fuel door is riveted onto the body, thus you must drill out the rivets in order to install the aftermarket fuel door. Other than that part, it's pretty straight forward. Good Luck!

i just did my silverado it wasn't to bad u just drilled the rivets took the bolts out (3 or 4)and bolted on the new one but i am not sure what your installing but i put on the brp locking door hope i helped.

i installed a gm door om my truck and the hardest part was center punching the rivets because, it would be easy to dent the metal because its not very thick where the door bolts on.

It freaked me out too drilling into my truck, I just kept tell my girl and myself that everything will be okay!! Haha!

I actually drilled holes three days after I got it to install mud flaps, so I am not a hole drilling virgin!

Being a Tool and Die Maker I am not a virgin to drilling holes, but couldn't bare to drill holes in a new truck, took it to the dealer, LOL :?
