I am new to this site. I need to replace the front bumper of my 2005 Silverado truck. How hard is it to do myself? Thanks Gary

If you are replacing your bumper because it was damaged, and the brackets were bent and you think the brackets are ok then yes, it is difficult. If it's a straight forward remove and replace then it is easy. Get the proper size sockets and wrenches and go after it.

It's 4 main bolts behind the grill, and 2 small bolts in the wheel wells (one in each wheel well). Once you get the grill out it's super easy. Of course, if you have the fog lights you will want to unplug the wires from them first. You won't believe how light the bumper is. I'd say it's onlt about 30 pounds max.
