Step bumper swap with sensors

Step bumper swap with sensors

Postby lsx.rich [OP] » Feb 09 2020, 11:31pm

Hi I bought a 14-18 rear step bumpers for my nnbs and the Diameter of the holes for the rear sensors didn’t line up. Everyone said it was a direct swap well it’s not looking that way. Do I have to buy the 2014 harness with sensors for it to work? I tried the search but no luck

I would say you will need to contact the manufacturer of the bumper with that question. Your signature shows you have a 2008. So does the mounting locations and brackets even line up for the new bumper that is for a 14-18?

I see. Last December I helped a buddy install an aftermarket rear bumper on a 2015. I can't recall the name right now but everything fit fine except for the 7 wire trailer connector had to be re-located to under side instead of through the bumper. Factory wiring was not long enough. I had to splice in more wire. But the backup sensors did fit in perfectly with good retention.

Sorry I can't help.
