Reopening an old Topic.

The links in this thread no longer work and my browser indicated one is not safe.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for my 2005 Silverado for the same type products listed above, just updated.

Thanks,
Rick

HaHa,
Yes I do use those daily as that is the only exercise I can do. I'm otherwise disabled from the waist down.
Thanks for your reply, I laughed for a minute. Actually Less.
Rick

EDIT:
Hey Mighty Whitey,
This is the second disparaging remark I've seen so far from you today. Is it because you ate your Wheaties and suddenly become the Super Hero, The Mighty Whitey or whatever you forum tag is.??

Maybe let someone answer a question that might actually have a reasonable answer that could inform us mere mortals. That would be most appreciated.

2011 Chevy mentions a torsion bar in his post. Can anyone post more information on this?

Maybe he was referring to the optional "easy lift" tailgate assist (????) It is a spring built into the passenger side hinge of the tailgate making it easier to lift. I have it on my '13. It is RPO code PPA. I don't think it is anything you could add to an existing tailgate.

I don't know if this company is still around or what the cost might be but maybe this is worth a look...
