Help!

Postby Tmedley82 [OP] » Feb 22 2021, 9:48pm

2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3 Vortec I install Bully Dog chip truck. Startes making my truck act all weird but I uninstalled it. I reset the EMC back to factory settings. Now when I start driving its lagging on the transmission from 1st to 2and. I tried to reset to TCM and that didn't work. Any ideas as to what this chip did to my transmission and how to fix it?

How many miles on the transmission? You might just disconnect the battery for a while, then let the truck relearn everything. It takes a little while, so have patience.

I already did the battery disconnect last night for over 2 hours. 185k on the transmission. It's not slipping. The truck ran perfect before the chip. Once the chip was installed it was doing this between 2and and 3rd gears, now that I removed it 2nd and 3rd are back to normal and its lagging in 1st

It can take 150 miles for the ECM and TCM to relearn the new parameters.
