Yellow fog light LEDs

Yellow fog light LEDs

Postby SierraHarley [OP] » Jul 17 2021, 3:21am

Does anyone have any experience with or know of any good LED fog light bulbs that are yellow? The only decent ones I can find are Diode Dynamics SLF @ 3000k color temp which would be ok but just curious if there are any other options.

I wish they made the Morimoto XB LED foglights as switchbacks then it would be an easy decision.

I know that Neal (Nealinator) has Sealight brand H11 Yellow LED fogs on his truck. There are pics in his build thread.

I really don't want to go with a cheap brand though. I'd rather stick with pro grade stuff ;)

I have the XB LED Foglights, and although they're white, they're fine. All they have to do is illuminate the "fog line."
There's no rule that says they have to be yellow.

The yellow is better in bad weather which is what I want them for. The white light is good in clear weather but in rain or fog not so much. No doubt the whites would look better but I don't drive around with them on all the time so not concerned with that, just want to have useful lights for different weather.

I do see SV4 makes some yellow ones as well.

It would be really cool if you could just change the colors so you could have them white when you wanted or yellow if needed.

I do see these switchback fog lights from Lasfit https://www.amazon.com/LASFIT-PSX24W-Sw ... NrPXRydWU=

Seems like a cheaper brand so kind of scared to bite due to quality concerns but it is interesting.

You could also use the Morimoto XB’s with some yellow Lamin-X film.

Good idea. I forgot you could order the XB fog lights with the yellow Lamin x. You may have just cost me some money sir.

I’m running the XB full headlamp and fog lamp assemblies on my truck. I’ve been meaning to order the yellow Lamin-X film for my fogs but keep forgetting about it. Your thread reminded me to get this done.
