Adding more wood the the center console

Adding more wood the the center console

Postby EX-F150 owner [OP] » Sep 19 2012, 1:18am

I really wanted to get this item in an OEM part but that is not an option. GM only made them in silver or black. I figured I was stuck with the black lid. I did not want the flat overlay option that I have seen available. This is a 3D overlay and should look great when I install it, Hopefully it will like it came with the truck, OEM like. I will post pics when I get it and install it.

Tricky thing with a non-OEM piece like that is the wood grain. Do you know if it matches the stock pieces?

I also ordered a set of gloss black steering wheel spokes with this order. They offered wood, carbon fiber, silver or black replacements. The black replacements are black automotive paint with a clear coat over them. My originals are already pealing at 10K miles!

Awesome thanks. These may be in my near future. I hate driving a nice expensive truck with peeling pieces.

I am interested in ordering these steering wheel spokes but have any of you replaced these yourselves? If so how hard are they to get on and off and do you have any instructions? Thanks.
