You do NOT Have to Wait to Add Power!

your 2015 5.3 has 11 to 1 CR clearly getting to the point of needing more than 87 octane, I run 93 in my LS1 10 to 1 because I can see it pulling timing out on 87 octane due to knock.

I run 93 or E85 in my 2010 6.2L
As for the vendor selling this with the statement "don't have to wait to add power" is very misleading and I'm sure a court of law would side with the consumer that is fighting with GM on a warranty claim.

6.2 is rated for higher octane. Besides I was not saying you cannot I was simply saying it was designed for that and the manufacturer (GM) recommends 87, which you personally may not agree with but the manual does state that last time I read it.

Does it say in the 6.2 manual that you can only run 93?

Mine too says I can run higher it just recommends 87. Not going to fight with anyone over it. I am pretty big on the whole free will thing and believe you can do whatever you like. Mod that bad boy for rocket fuel if that is your thing, I will gladly watch it tear down the saltflats and cheer you on. I was trying to have a conversation not an argument, sometime I forget this is the net though le sigh. Point taken, forget I said anything.

Right? Today I learned that you yanks have very strong feelings on your octane rating. Can honestly say I will never make that mistake again.
