Door speakers

Postby Billow [OP] » Apr 06 2021, 3:53pm

My 2006 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. Both front door speakers have stopped working. Looking to replace all of them with some good speakers. Looking for the best bang for the buck speaker recommendations. What about keeping the factory front tweeter or disabling it for a 3way speaker instead? Thanks

I picked up a full set of four Rockford Fozgate speakers for my 08 Silverado for $130.00. The set came with door adapters for the speakers, and wire harness adapters. They sound really good

I might have to go down this route I like the way they all have the option for adaptability so no cutting wires just plug and play and if I read properly they fit in OE speaker holes with brackets provided.

I started out with the Rockfords but ended up with these (below) instead. Just a little cleaner sound and a little more range. Still ended up getting a small sub to fill in the low end better..

I put polk speakers in my 01 suburban and they sounded very good. i liked them enough to put them in my current truck too. a plus for me is that they are marine grade/rated so they will hold up to moisture/humidity in your door panel
