New System Considered

I'll call Crutchfield as Jeff said. I had a 92' Silverado back then and I swear that my 19's sound system sounds just as bad. No evolution whatsoever!
I'll check out YouTube as well. I'd just like to see what speakers I have and where they are located so I can figure out how to change them out.

Just remember that there are two "Bose" systems in some model years.

The first one not only get you components (Separate woofer and tweeter) in the front door, but adds a power amp and sub. Usually under the console of the bucket seats. This is the one that the Bose badge usually shows up on.

The second one, gets you the components in the front door, but no power amp and sub.

The third audio option is the basic standard head unit and door speakers.

My non Bose system has 2 speakers in the front doors (under the grills) 2 in the rear doors (same thing) and 1 in each corner of the dash.

You have factory crap speakers. Probably with paper cones. Nothing to see. Just replace them.

What I meant by that is that I'd like to see what size they are in order to know what to buy as replacements. Trust me I know they are factory paper crap, I have to listen to them every day! Lol!

As has been mentioned (and what I explained in my post) call Crutchfield tell them what you want to do and they'll have answers...they know what you have and will have excellent suggestions for what you want to do.

I was responding to your post in which you explained that you had a non Bose system and your specific speaker locations in your truck. And I previously said that I would call Crutchfield after Jeff suggested it. You suggested Youtube! (which is also good guidance)
Thanks for the help!

6X9 in the front doors, 6" round in the rear doors 2.5" round in the dash. Crutchfield can tell you that for sure, too, unless you're just bound and determined to take the door panels off for something to do.

I've got other things to do, Lol!! I'll take the panels off the day I replace the speakers. Thanks for the sizes but for sure I'll call Crutchfield this week to ask. On their website, I put my specific vehicle information and it says that 3 different sizes fit on the doors:
Front: 6 1/2, 6 3/4 & 6x9
Rear: 6 1/2 & 6 3/4
So based in that, I have no clue what they exactly are. Anyways, I'll call!
