You'll need to tap off the rear speaker leads tfor an audio signal.

you'll need this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_435 ... -LC2i.html 83$

This will tap off the rear speakers, and turn the signal into something that's clean for an amplifier and provide you with a remote turn on lead.

Don't take this the wrong way, but running subs and amps off the factory deck in 2000 isn't ideal. Doable? Totally.. Optimal? Not so much.

I would suggest upping your budget a little, and getting a new head unit, wiring harness, and dash kit. You will be much much happier in the long run. I can 99% guarantee that if you do add subs to your factory deck, you will not be happy with the outcome and will upgrade the head unit anyway. I would rather put the money of the LC2i toward a head unit personally.

hope that helps. best of luck.

If you don't want to mess with the stock wiring on the truck, I'd advise using this adapter for your RCA lines: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_187 ... 1416A.html

You'll have to run a little more line but it's seriously plug an play, Worked great in my 2012 Silverado.

That is not compatible with his truck. He said he has a 2000. Other wise that would be a great idea.

For the cost of that $83 converter you can get yourself a HU with preouts for the bass. Another $75 and you can get a really nice HU with bluetooth, wireless calling, and front/rear/bass pre outs. I highly recommend changing the HU otherwise it WILL sound bad compared to with a new HU.

I have the Kicker Bass Station in my 2012 Sierra extended cab. I love it. Sounds just as good as the 12 my buddy put in his extended cab, only I had to run like 3 wires (power, ground and sound) tucks up under my rear seat nice and pretty like. And it's easy to take out in the event you sell or trade.

I meant to add, what's nice is the amp and everything is already in the box, I just tapped into my two rear speakers, and then found a power source that only turns on when the truck does and BOOM, it's thumping. It's not the loudest out there, but you can still hear it on the outside of the truck. But it's not going to shake the cars windows next to you. I had it installed in under 2 hours.

the subs fire down and sound great and the seat still works...no mods to the seat needed.
