I have a friend, whose car is 2005 Silverado 2500HD. He bought a set of LED headlight bulbs 9006 and a set of 9005, and was going to change the factory halogen headlight bulb, high beam and low beam

LED headlight bulbs work great
The back of the bulb with the fan sticks out so far from
the back of the headlight casing that it touches the metal interior of the car
and will not allow me to put the headlight casing back on.
I have attached pics of the light with the stock bulbs as well as the led's so you can see what I am talking about.

Are there any guys meet this problem?

Yep it is normal. Some fan cooled LED's are more compact than others. In most cases the cover no longer can be used. I have been running a set in my wife's SUV. It had halogens that were just pitiful. The LED's are great, but the cover no longer fits. I don't worry about it. If an insect or something gets in there, I would just use a small tube connected to the shop vac thru the bulb opening and that would be that. So far after 6 months no issues. Is what it is.

Yes.
My uncle's car is 2004 Silverad0 1500, he told me he drill a hole on the bracket, so the LED bulb can through the hole, and he can put the bracket back on.
