Retrax Pro MX Tonneau Cover for 2014 - 2018 Chevy 5'8"

I got hail damage and the insurance company is paying for a new one. There are about 8 small dents that are hard to see unless you have the right light (I had to work hard to get the photo to show them) and in no way effect performance. This is a Retrax Pro MX for a 2015 Chevy Silverado with the 5'8" bed. It has the wide rail covers. Asking $1000. Paid $1800 for new.

Willing to meet reasonable distance to DFW area. Will not ship.

I think a better deal would be to offer it for the same price as your deductible...since your getting a replacement. Besides there are many other options out there for that price or less brand new. I know my Roll-n-lock cost me $1000 brand new.

Well, since my deductible is $100 and has absolutely nothing to do with the worth of the product..no.

And you're comparing apples to oranges. Yes, there are other, cheaper covers out there, but there is a reason they are cheaper. I've used the Bak Rollback and it was ok, but not worth what this one is worth. I'm way happier with this cover than others I've used.

Now, that being said, I realize that its only worth what someone will pay. I'm will to take offers. But honestly, if I'm going to give it away, I'll give it to my brother for his truck.

Why not just keep it, and pocket the cash you would get to replace the cover? Nothing in "most" insurance policies says you have to fix any damage that doesn't affect driveability, even with a lein on the vehicle. I'm still waiting to get my hail damage fixed on my truck and the wife's Traverse, but got the check from insurance months ago. They said it was up to me if I fixed it...

Just another thought.

I really considered that. But if something else happens and I don't have proof I replaced it, it won't be covered. I'm just getting too cautious in my old age..... :D
