It appears that there is at least one company tunning the 2017 + 8spd tcm with out removal. Just curious if Diablo is still looking at the availability to being able to tune them as well or if it's still not going to happen. I believe they can currently tune the 2017 engine, curious as to how much benefit there is to tunning the engine with out tunning the transmission on a 6.2l

I believe TRIFECTA Performance is offering the service. I however know nothing about the company.

Per threads on some other forums it seems there area couple that can tune the 2017+ 8 speeds without physically removing the TCM, but they look pricey, but if you bought a 6.2 money is a non object!

I believe Diablew tune would know. However last we heard he was ssowed in with no power running on generator.

I tuned my 5.3 with the 8spd...its the only way to fly. The 8spd is waaaaay better than my 6spd was in my 15. I would say I am quite happy with the non tuned TCM 8spd. If Diablo cracks the code I'm in, if not meh....I'm ok with it.

What year was your 5.3 8spd and who did you use for tunning. If it's a 2016 or later that tunning is available. The tunning availability problem is with the 2017+ 8spd TCM.

I am back up and running.. have power/internet again..

and no, the 8 speed can not be done at all with any handheld...
