So I recently purchased a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD Z71. However, it's original motor was replaced with a 2013 GMC Sierra 6.0. Ran like a charm the first few days, but started noticing loss of power and when accelerating, it would sputter and stall. Rpm would rise but the acceleration wouldn't respond.
And now Every time you accelerate, I'll hear a "pop" every so often. The truck did come with an after market intake.
Would really like to see what's the problem! Before it causes more damage. Please help !
Misfire is probably what you're hearing. check all fuel injectors, coil packs, spark plugs, and wires. Make sure plug wires are too close to exhaust headers, they will melt and mess up your spark.
I have a sprint drive, that reads the computer. The code is giving me P0325. Knock sensors if I'm correct. Would that be a main issue ? I've been told that that can be the cuase of everything happening.
I would defiantly think it would when you change the knock sensor do both and the wiring leads also I think GM has a bulliton about this wiring harness. And be sure to use only AC delco parts these trucks are sensitive to crappy after market stuff. Let us know if it works for ya it will help others trouble shooting.
Sure did ! Ordered some new spark plugs and wires, replaced them and she now runs good as new.
