Hi,
trying to buy some PF63 oil filters (mine is a 2024 1500 5.3L with engine) as per the maintenance manual...cannot find any source. Tried local shops like Autozone, O'reilleys and 2 GMC / Chevy dealers but nobody has any. Amazon has the PF63s but when entering the vehicle specs to verify fitment, the warning comes back saying that this filter does not fit my vehicle??? I am trying to stay OE for now, I know I can get get equivalent quality filters from other brands. Thanks.

didn't realize we had a Baldwin option, that's great to know. I'm a fan and I've been stuck in their media for a while ;) ;) ;).

I think the "amsoil super signature filter made with unobatinium" is just a wix with matte black jacket on IIRC.

Wix filters are very good, but the standard filter filters down to 21 microns and the HD version only filters 35 microns. The HD filter is designed for long drain intervals. If you don't long drains the standard filter filters better.

Spare the trouble an order online Amsoil signature fully synthetic oil and Amsoil filter. It extends the need to change oil and is the best for protection in your engine. Look it up for yourself. Also I use Amsoil in my transmission, runs like a champ.

I think I read an article that stated there is a difference between the PF63 and The PF63E. Oil bypass pressure is higher on the PF63E to accommodate the higher oil bypass pressure newer engine were designed for. If you use the Reg PF63 in engines that has the higher oil by pressure spec, the PH63 might be bypass oil through due to it its lower pressure design.
