Only have a limited amount of time (?not long) to edit. If you don't see it edit button, its too late.

^^^ This. You only have half an hour, or something, or until there are certain number of replies after your post. Something like that...

the easy solution is to just reply to your own post and say something like "here's the pics' or whatever
