R&D - Larger Headers And Exhaust From Stainless Works

R&D - Larger Headers And Exhaust From Stainless Works

Postby Stainless Works [OP] » Sep 16 2015, 4:50pm

We've decided to offer larger primaries and exhaust for the 2007 thru 2013 Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra 1500 series. We just got the R&D vehicle in the shop and i'll post updates and pictures during the process. Thought it would be cool for you guys to get some behind the scenes access. 8-)

We currently offer 1-3/4" primaries and 2-1/2" collectors as well as 2-1/2" dual exhaust system.
http://stainlessworks.net/products?dir=asc&limit=30&make_=370&mode=list&model_=341&order=name&price=900-&year=34

The new offering will include 1-7/8" primaries and 3" collectors with a 3" dual exhaust system.

This new product offering is american made with mandrel bent 304L stainless steel for a lifetime warranty. This system is built for trucks with some engine modifications such as heads, cams, or a supercharger as the stock engine may see a slight loss of low end torque even though it will give you increased horsepower. We recommend this system even if you do have a stock engine in case you want to do some performance upgrades in the future.

Updates coming soon....

Getting some stock video and audio clips this morning before the R&D guys get ahold of it.

Thanks to James for giving us the keys to his 2011 Silverado 5.3L 1500 and telling us to "Drive it like you stole it!".

More to come...

Do yall have any options for the 4.3L without having the full blown v6 sound until about full rev?

Sorry we don't offer anything for the 4.3L right now. I'll let you know if it becomes something we plan on developing.

Yeah they can be a big investment.

We price them this way because we believe in delivering the highest quality product. Our headers are made from american sourced stainless steel. We cut, weld, and form these headers by expert american welders/fabricators. We also design and test everything in house to make sure that the product we deliver meets our standards.

Because of all that, we back everything by a lifetime warranty. We believe that our headers are an investment in the vehicle. That eliminates some potential customers because they may only be looking for a system for the immediate future.

Let me know if you're in the ballpark and I'll see if there's anything one of our dealers or we can offer.

Update on the progress. We are projecting these products to ship by the end of October. I'll be posting some part numbers and details soon since we've finished the fitment phase. We'll be opening up some pre-orders if you'd like to get first crack at the best headers and exhaust available for your truck.
