Looks like just the rubber bushing. Should be an easy fix. But steering parts have a habit for not liking to come apart.

I looked and couldn't find an aftermarket part number for that- its just the frame-mount bushings for the rack & pinion housing. The bushings tend to swell with exposure to oil, and soften, weaken, then do that.

Replacing them might be easy, might not, depends on if you can get the rack and pinion housing away from the frame enough to pry out/press in new bushings. Alignment would not be affected, probably would feel more accurate steering after new bushings.

A GM part dealer desk could easily identify the part number based on your pics.

Bump. Any more opinions on this? My cuz told me that the stealership said that entire thing had to be replaced.

What brand is recommended for a lifted Silverado 4×4. I have a 6inch lift and running 35×12.5 tires. Any suggestions?
