Instead of using the strut spacers that come with the kit can you use adjustable struts with this kit?

IF

Assuming the 8" BDS kit has a 2" spacer to add to achieve this 8" total

Then as long as the adjustable struts will work with a 6" kit up to 8" then yes.

I hope that makes sense.

Thank you. What I am wanting to do is change the 8” lift to a 9” with 7 to 9 inch adjustable struts.

Why not just get the right lift to start with?

I'd the BDS 8" is anything like their 6" kit, your angles will be atrocious if you lift it up to 9". They took a page out of rough country's book with their 6" kit, being that it's just their 4" kit with taller spacers. So basically all they did was slap a leveling kit on top of their 4" kit and called it a 6" kit.

I'm betting that their 8" kit is similar in that it isn't a true 8" of drop. If that's the case, then 9" will in all likelihood have pretty bad angles.

If it's a true 8" lift, then setting it to 9" wouldn't be too bad, but still better to get a correctly sized lift kit for the height you want.

That extra info is helpful. I was not fully understanding what you wanted to do.

Like mentioned if its a true 8in kit and your angles are good then setting it to 9" via adjustable struts MAY not be too terrible. You could always do it and set the struts at 9" then check once it has settled and if the angles are bad then drop it back down to 8". That is likely what I would do.
