Saving up for a BDS kit [Questions]

I would check with CST and see if there 4" lift is still available for the 07-13 1500's. I had that lift on my 2013 and it is the best 4" kit hands down. No track width increase, comes with new uca's, and you can use any 4" coilover or just use your stock coilovers. Performance shows it out of stock but doesn't say discontinued.

I will have to email them and find out. But just comparing the price of that kit compared to the BDS, the BDS is cheaper. The track width is not really an issue with the solution Trax came up with

I haven't seen the CST kit for the gmt900 trucks listed for sale anywhere. At least not new.

I highly doubt they still make it, otherwise they would have it for sale themselves at the very least.

Price was higher then the basic BDS 4" kit, but the CST kit included new UCA's which would cost another $500.00 to add to the BDS kit.

At this point, I think it would be easiest to go with the BDS coilover kit or the BDS non-coilover kit and not piece kits together.

The more I think about it, the extra $1500 for coilovers is crazy to me, it would take a mass black friday sale for me to consider them.

The base BDS kit of basically $1900 plus $2000 wheels and tires, thats a lot of money to dish out at once on truck parts. But it would look badass... maybe ill sell a kidney

Yeah it's not for everyone. Until you drive a truck with them. Then you'll understand Haha.

But the coilovers can be added anytime afterwards too. Not like it's a different lift for them or anything. They take like 30 minutes or so to swap out. Super easy. Just 5 bolts and they're in.

Thats what I am thinking, I do not need to coilovers now. I can buy and install the lift now-ish and buy the coilovers later on.

Quick question

If I want a 4" lift/level, and the front of the BDS lift is a true 4" lift, I should be looking into 3.75" rear lift blocks, right? Do you have any recommendations to replace the leaf springs to have a smaller lift block?

Any lift you buy will come with the appropriate blocks.
