That sounds like John Deere. When it comes to warranty and product improvement work they give you minimal time. Everyone understands though so they don't say anything when it takes longer. We are expected to maintain 65% efficiency between all work codes.

Yeah it seems all OEMs are pretty much the same. At least the ones I've worked for seem to be. Doosan/Bobcat, Cummins, Navistar, and Eaton are the ones I have experience with.

Cummins and Navistar are weird sometimes though. Like for something that really isn't that involved they will give some long repair time, but then on something that is a deep dive into it, they will stab you in the back with a crazy short time. Doesnt make much sense.

I'd also love to see the engineers who designed the stuff and come up with the times come out and do the work lol. Sometimes I'm convinced they come up with the times by having the engine on a stand, bolts all pre-loosened, and all tools and parts laid out ready to go lol.

Put the new PVC fitting in today for the sprinkler backflow system and it holds great. It’s just that the backflow valve itself seems to be busted too. Can’t see anything clearly broken on it, but since it’s puking water out of it, I guess there’s something wrong with it.

Ordered a repair kit off Amazon and hopefully will have it in the next week or so. Amazon’s delivery estimates seem to be a mess around here at the moment.

If it is spewing out the top "bell" part...then yes it is the plastic inner valve thing that needs to be replaced.

Yup, that's where the water is coming. I took it apart and examined the parts and couldn't see anything broken, so go figure. Repair kit is on the way, so hopefully that's it. The guts of the valve are actually quite different from what we had in the old house. A lot more parts.

Lawn sprinklers worked great this morning,,but then again I am not in Texas. Were getting a big blow the next couple of days, 30+ tomorrow. Hopefully it will blow the two trees over I am paying to get cut down on Friday and save me some cash!
Good news is,, even with the wind today, calling for 77 degrees!

I drove down into Dallas this morning for a dentist appointment.. Funny enough, had to laugh at myself when I was leaving and actually turned on my A/C to get my cabin temp down.
Last week the heat was on as high as it could go to bring myself above freezing.. now I'm kicking on the AC. Gotta love Texas weather. :D
