I can't wait to get it scoped and punch holes with it...it was quite interesting shooting with no sights and getting hits on 50yd steel just from boresighting & then holding it in place while putting bolt back in...Image

And this Google pic has been saved on my phone for quite a while...As I continue viewing it & dreaming LolImage

the price sure is right for a basic vault door thats for sure. you'll pay this much for a generic gun box from one of the big box boys

https://smile.amazon.com/SnapSafe-Vault ... 01M07B454/

with the kind of budget you're talkin for that hell's canyon, or a quality liberty - you could outfit one substantial walk-in thats for damn sure.

id want a space about the size of a bedroom if i was throwin that kinda budget for a safe/vault around.

Image

nice long butcher block top work bench .. 6-8' of gunplumber space.
butcher block top table for my reloading equipment - 8-10' long, storage shelving on the wall behind it and cabinets underneath.

boomsticks get a wall, with at least 3 shelves designed for 50 cal cans underneath. i prefer this kind of layout, instead of everyone hanging on the wall sideways.
Image

i really like gallows technology panels. those are super slick modular setups for damn sure!

$250 to hang 9 guns? sign me the hell up!

not like i've dreamed about it or anything LOL

Oh Hell yes! I think I have that same picture saved  Years ago we poured basement walls and floor for a co-worker and he wanted to make a gun room. So we talked him into, instead of filling his front stoop in with dirt and pouring a cap on it, just capping it and making his room under it. surrounded by concrete, he just needed the door and we poured a drain in the floor for his dehumidifier. I think it was like 40x8 or 10. turned out awesome when he was done!

You Gentleman seem pretty above average when it comes to knowledge on or about firearms so Ill ask you. With all this crap going on with the AR pistols (pistol braces), would it be good advice to just pay the 200$ tax and register it as a SBR or would that be ill advised? Just thinking about covering my butt if they change the rules. Not that they would just deny it and keep the money out of spite

No I would not. They haven't passed it yet and even if they do pass some legislature you are not instantly going on some list. They will grandfather or give you some leeway in terms of what you can do with the rifle. Just my $.02

Ahhh boy...the CZ 457 likes the Gemtech 42gr subs! Image

First 50yd target hits...Image

Second 50yd target hits...Image

So...how bout 100yds?Image

That 100yd target shocked me...sun was behind me at my bench & glare in scope made it hard to see cross hairs...

Either ammo flavors I'm trying is getting mo betta or I'm getting used to how this pfft stick shoots...prob both [emoji848]

BTW...I have now shot 175rds with no barrel cleaning except for when I first got the rifle...to clean or not to clean? Hmmm...

Thot I'd posted these other flavor tastings but see that I hadn't...

If they do make it so they have to go in the NFA registry... They're gonna have to give out free stamps to anyone that has a 4+ point braced pistol.

This isn't like the bump stock where they declared them machine guns and there's an existing law preventing the mfg of new machine guns ... since SBR's are legal in most states and under federal law with a stamp...

On top of that.. there's somewhere between 10-30 million braces out there and they figure this effects between 3-4 million gun owners at the very least. This is WAY bigger of a commonality thing than bump stocks ever were.

So it'll essentially have to be a " Welcome to the free stamp club" scenario.

Yes it'll put that lower receiver into the NFA registry... but for those who live in states with handgun registration laws already... that receiver is already on the books.

And if you're already a stamp collector .... well you're already in the NFA already so what's another line on the spreadsheet. Especially when it's it's a freebie.

TBH... if that's the route they go - and I'm hoping it crashes and burns bad - , I'll take the free stamp, grab the other stripped receiver that's 4473'd to me out of the safe and build a non-braced ar-pistol to be my new truck gun, register that As a new handgun here, and take the old serial # out of the mi handgun registry.

And...Since I'll have to get fresh fingerprints and passport photos done anyway....I'll probably form-1 another can while I'm submitting stuff for approval. BoGO deal.
