PA snow yesterday

Postby Hburgrado [OP] » Jan 08 2020, 2:49pm

Anyone else get in a little 4x4 exercise last night?

Finally got to justify that 12mpg :) had a hoot out in the country and the hills myself. Nothing crazy by any means, but it was fun actually using the truck and tires for a change.

I know the northern folk are laughing, cheers!

Not yesterday, but this morning on my way to work. Up north in the Poconos we got about 5 inches of snow last night and it was a little slippery when I left for work at 4:30am.

I only got around an inch by me. And mainly on the grass. The roads had maybe half and inch or so. Just enough to ruin the truck lol. I've over the winter already. And we've only had 2 days that its snowed where anything actually stuck. Basically just enough to remind people how bad they are at driving.

In my 12 mile trip home from work, I saw no fewer than 10 wrecks. Either single car or multi vehicle. Pretty ridiculous for a coating of snow Haha.

Surprised that storm missed you Trax, I got about 5 here the Harrisburg/Lancaster area as well.

The backroads were a ghost town, I avoided the soccer moms in minivans (my wife included:)

You guys have a favorite snow setup? Im running 275x70x18 ridge grapplers and couldn’t be much happier in the snow. Rain not so much.

Ive heard that before. I don’t have a ton of AT tire experience to argue one way or another. All I can say is they are much better than half tread dynapros :)

I had no issues with them yesterday in 5”s and was leaning towards being impressed.
