Postby flyn_ripped [OP] » Jun 06 2021, 6:12am

I get this question must be getting old but heres my question, I bought 09 a gmc 1500 but the motor has a dropped #7 cyl. so now I found a 2011 GMC with a good motor that being said my truck is a 3 code and the other is a 0 code do I need to change the computer and the ecm with the parts truck. Right when I thought i figured it out i see something about a B,Z or T how do I find that out. thanks

Why swap one failed 5.3 AFM motor for another 5.3 AFM motor that could potentially fail at any time? Swap in a 4.8 or 6.0 (from a 2500) so you can avoid AFM.
