1A Auto front end kit

228k and she’s knocking and wearing outer tire edges in turns. I’m looking at THIS kit for rebuilding the front end on my 02’ 4x4. Anyone have experience with them? Is there a better kit for a bone stock truck?

Looks like a bucket of cheap parts. I would get higher quality parts from, say rockauto, like Timken hubs, uplevel moog or mevotech stuff for the rest of the bits.

I have used trq parts in the past, not on my Silverado, and I know others that have used some too. Out of the "cheap stuff" they are ok. I did buy 2 wheel bearing hub assemblies one time, one failed after about a year and driving through 2 floods. The other held fine. Got the bad one replaced under warranty and has worked ever since. Over all haven't heard much bad about them. You can always look for reviews on amazon

folks on here tend to tell you to buy mostly gm original or acdelco stuff and then the top of the line like timken, moog highline, etc. I am sure they are made better and may perform better and last longer, but if your parts are original and worn and you are on a budget like me, firing the cash cannon at parts is not always an option. They will be better than your worn out parts, I can promise you that. Might not get 20 years out of them but still

Agree with @schurick above. I'm sure they are usable and much better than what you have in there now. Just don't necessarily expect to get the same amount of time/miles out of them than from some of the more expensive brands.

So yeah, if you are working on a budget, go for it. Nothing wrong with that. I've experimented both ways and have come to the conclusion that I might as well swing for the better quality/more expensive parts and swap things less often.

Looks like nothing is greaseable in this kit.

It all may be OK, but unless the hubs are Timken or SKF I wouldn't be interested.

Thanks for the insight everyone! I’ll have a look around and see what I can find.

If you don't mind, once you make your purchase, come back and update this thread from lousy packing to installation and whatever else might happen down the road
