Title is pretty self explanatory. Just looking to see how low you can go without needing a C Notch. I've seen conflicting information saying 2/4 you don't but 3/5 and 4/6 you do and I've seen that 2/4 and 3/5 you don't but 4/6 you do. Can someone help me out? I want to get this truck down as low as possible without having to take that step.

I believe it's 4/6 on those years bodies... I have a 09 (different frame) that I have sitting at 6 in the rear, and I'm not using a c notch.

You might be able to get away with it.

But the idea would be to get under your rear truck and measure from the frame to the axle (loaded weight) and from there you should be able to find out

I use my Duramax for any hauling now so basically I am just lowering this one to look good, and for when the turbo engine is finished. Gonna try and get this longbed single cab whore into the 10s lol

I think I will just go 3/5 to be safe for now

Get a kit that's adjustable so if you want to go lower you won't have to spend more money buying extra parts

Most 4/6 or 5/7 kits are technically adjustable.. you just leave certain parts off.

3/5 has an axle flip in the rear, which if you want to go lower, that ll need to be done anyway....
