Do you have the AFM shut off or has it been on the whole time?
Been on the whole time. Besides driving it across the country 5 times I’ve had it in some pretty spectacular back country areas. Went up a road that climbed 7000 feet in 3.5 miles 2 weeks after I bought it (new).
I insist on the washer content always being potable water in the event of it going “temporarily off duty” in the desert. If this happens to be during cold I’d just put a 1/5 of crappy vodka in the reservoir.
Any time something sounded like it was going to get ticky or tappy I’d ASAP change the oil while it was hot. It hasn’t done any of that for quite a while. It is coding lean after that, but I’m thinking it’s due to running out of spec for a while on those obliterated plugs, along with constant E85 use currently ($3.999/gal vs ~$6 in Communifornia).
I’d like to get this engine itself rebuilt after making 500+K on it, but the way things are going I’m probably going to push the button on buying a crate and sitting on it until the time comes…
