Hey everyone. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra All Terrain Crew Cab. It has about 204k miles on it.

A few months ago, I got into the truck and the chime was incredibly loud. Other people notice it as well. This was a sudden change from the previous volume and did not coincide with any visits to the dealer or disconnecting the battery.

I went through the settings and the chime volume is at zero.

Occasionally, the volume reverts back to normal or becomes quieter which is really strange. I reset the factory settings in the menu but did not have success.

The chime in question is for the seat belt indicator, parking sensors, fuel level and other DIC notifications.

Does anyone have any idea what happened and how I can resolve the issue?

Thanks,

V

I have read similar posts and there was one recommendation to set the setting at 1 instead of zero.
Other than that, I am useless.
