All,

Need advice.

My 2016 Silverado 2500 with 83K miles is running just fine. I checked the tranny fluid and it is a clear pink and at the right levels.

The truck has never towed a trailer, has rarely seen speeds over 75 mph, and 90% of the miles are highway.

Should I spend the money NOW or wait to do a tranny fluid and filter change later? I would like to swap out the pan to the PML and that starts to make the costs get to the $600 range.

If doing the work out doors or in your garage, Wait a few weeks to a month when temps are cooler then do it.

Many on this site would say it's a good idea to follow the severe duty maintenance schedule in your owner's manual. I'd agree. Change that fluid.
