I live in Southwest TN. Tiny town called Counce. Close to Pickwick Lake. A few yrs ago i bought a BEAUTIFUL rebuilt 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT z71 4x4 from a local and very reputable body shop. Electrical issues the week I bought it. Stablitrak problems. GM replaced steering angle sensor and only fixed the problem for about 2 weeks. Still having problems with it which means no cruise control. Transmission issues (3rd and 4th went out) at roughly 70k (Thankfully, the body shop seller, split the rebuild cost with me since i hadnt had it very long), Engine issues (bent pushrods and starting sending shaved metal pieces thru the engine) at roughly 120k. Had full time v8 Jasper Engine installed and the mechanic only changed 1 injector while installing new engine cause there was only 1 that was bad. Drove it home and threw code for catalytic converter as i pulled into the driveway. Figured the 1 bad, flooding injector, flooding the system may've stopped up the cat so I bought a new converter and installed it myself since i had just dropped almost $12k into a new engine and 1 new injector🙄. The old cats were literally melted inside and the "lil honeycombs" were just chunks of metal. After I install new cats (was the "no break-in required" from Walker, if i remember correctly) and torque everything down good. Drive it and runs amazing but notice I'm barely getting 12 mpg but exhaust hadn't really smelled bad so I just chalked it up to the New Jasper Full time V8 amd the 22" wheels with 35" tires 😂 Wife's air goes out in her car so she drives the truck for awhile, while waiting for her car to be fixed. The day she gets her car back and we drive back home, I get code for fuel trim high efficiency bank 2. Ordered New AC delco injectors with seals already installed on them and get truck tore down and realize, there's no little cup looking Teflon seals. Now I'm stuck. HELP!!! SOMEBODY SAVE ME!!🤣🤣

What gears are in the truck? 35" tires will kill your MPG unless you have the correct gears for those tall/heavy tires.

Yeah they're like 1.5 inches taller from center so roughly 3 inch total. But j was an idiot wheb I 1st got the truck and traded my factory 18's for some GM Denali 22" with mud tires. Thinking it'd look good. And it did just guess but it was my daily and ended up with 2 sets of mud tires in storage cause I drove a LOT and put some all terrains just for the lil extra grip, where we live. Then didn't wanna spend the extra for stepping back down to at least t 20's so id have more rubber on the sidewall and traded for some Nitto 35"s just to get me a lil softer ride when j actually do drive it now. Not so much stressing the mileage but everything else that has happened. I knew mileage would be worse after the AFM gone but j couldnt chance another motor in another 120k miles if I put factory back in it. So now, I'm just trying to piece her back. Wish we could rip all thay mess out and reprogram the whole thing. No stabilitrak, no cats. Just truck fuel motor transmission. Back when engines made sense.

Wheel size doesn't matter. It's the diameter/weight of the tires that will affect gear ratio and MPG. For example, 35" tires with 3.08 gears will ruin the way the truck drives and be hard on the transmission. AFM really has very little affect on MPG. So again... what gears do you have?
