Iv got a 2001 silverado 4.3 v6 rwd. I bought a 4.3 engine that was out of a blazer and supposedly it was supposed to work and other than a couple of changes to some exterior stuff on the engine the motor mounts are completely different my mounts have 4 bolts in a square and the mounts for the blazer engine have 3 bolts. Anyone have any ideas or am i screwed on this??

Is the block the same for both? I'd think it's just the old style 3 bolt mount on the block that Chevy has used forever. Try using the mount of your old engine on the new one.

The blazer engine is like the old style mounts its got 3 bolt holes in a triangle shape
The silverado mounts are 4 bolts in a square none of the holes line up

The only way i know this will work is if the blazer frame side of the mount is the same but i doubt it. I may have bought a 700$ engine for nothing lol

I'll bet someone, somewhere makes an adaptor for that.

Iv found theses. http://www.advanceadapters.com/products ... t-adapter/. But its opposite of what i need. These are gen 3 to 3 bolt frame mounts. I need 3 bolt anchor mount to gen 3 frame mount but i cannot find anything that will work
