Stock 4.8 RCSB w/4l60e.
Has 180k on it. Truck used to be 'peppy'. It overheated several months ago pretty bad. I swapped out Tstat, waterpump, hoses, etc. Truck isnt overheating now, but just seems to have no oomph at all. I mean it was never a rocket ship, but I could roast the rear tires before. Now it cant hardly bark them at all.

I didnt see any oil in water or vice versa.

Replacement of those parts would not fix the damage caused by the sever overheat.

How overheated did it get? Heads could be warped, even without a leaky gasket. Aluminum warps fairly easily and it doesn't take much to affect it. Rings could've gotten shot as well. Do a compression check / leak down test too. There's a number of things that could have been turned to scrap

appreciate the replies. Truck is meant to be a turbo build down the road this coming year, so I guess ill just replace with a 5.3 or another 4.8 while I'm at it.
