4.8L- Oil Pump/ Funky Oil Pressure- Future Engine Swap?

Recently, I tore into my 2007 Chevy Silverado LT 4x4 with a 4.8L with 180,000 miles on it. I changed the oil pump because the truck's oil pressure dropped at idle to a pressure of around 10psi ( I'm guessing because the gauge goes 20, 40, 60, 80). When I dropped the pan I noticed multiple metal shavings on the bottom of the pan. I assume there is wear and tear. After changing the pump, I have doubled the idle pressure to somewhere around 25 to 30psi when reaching operating temperature (let it run for 30 minutes). I asked around and multiple sources have told me that with high mileage trucks often the bearings lose pressure because of wear and a fix could be to use either Lucas / Stp oil treatments or using a thicker oil altogether. When replacing the oil I used Penzoil High Mileage 5w30 after finishing the oil pump.
I really don't want to dig into an engine overhaul on the motor and I don't know a whole lot about the crate part of the motor. (The most I have done is changed a timing chain) I have worked on most of the outer parts of the engine but have never dug that far into an engine. Will the thicker oil hurt the motor? What are my options for an engine swap if oil pressure ruins the motor?
Also when driving at 1500rpm I am currently sitting at somewhere around 50psi.
30 at idle is just fine. 50 driving is good too. Pressure loss is typically bearing wear. What's your could idle pressure?
