Hey guys I just partially finished a build I have been working on. I built a heads cam 5.3 built the rear diff and paid another local guy to rebuild the Trans. I had about 200 miles on the Trans build and the torque converter was acting kinda odd. Anyways last night in driving it and in rolling about 25 and I punch it it goes great and then out of no where I have no gears. Guy is saying change torque converter. Anyone had one give like that in a 60e?

Fluid is red smells fine it literally ran awesome then bam nothing it was an ebay "torco" brand

Either converter or pump I am rebuilding it myself this time. Guess that old saying "if you want it done right do it yourself" still stands.

I have done them before. i would just rather not. But I'm not paying $1200 again and it not work again.

And silentbravo last time it ended up busting the case and all. this is a completely different 4l60 and torque converter all new hard parts started with an empty case.
