6l80 Transmission mount

How do you know the mount is done for other than it completely tearing? Does anyone know the acceptable play from ground to cab that it should give?

Still need to get the drive shaft balanced but was under there looking and noticed a small tear starting in the mount and I can push the tail of the transmission up some. Its not super easy and it does go back to place so I suppose fine?

If you see a tear, I would say it's done. The mount doesn't really do much for holding it in place, as gravity does most of the work, it's mainly for reducing vibration transmission between the frame and transmission/transfer case.

And for my '12 3500, the service manual indicates they are single-use bolts...

Okay thanks. I assumed only vibration dampening but wasn't sure.

All three of them? one that holds the mount to the frame and the two that hold the mount to the transmission?
That is surprising they are single use. Almost unbelievable lol
I double checked. For my '12 3500, 4wd, 6l90e, they are single use. For 2wd, they are not (the bolts are reusable).

IDK about the other parts of the o.p.'s truck, as my 3500 has the cross member solidly bolted to the frame, with NO bushings or anything else for those bolts (which are also reusable).
If you can move it, it's done for.

I have always reused those bolts without hesitation and have never had a come back to my shop for reusing those.

If they are reusable or not depends on the model. And I doubt you bothered reading the FSM for how to tighten them anyway...
