Hey guys thanks for any help you can give me. My 2001 Silverado 4.3L engine had a main bearing go and took out the block. A friend has a '97 4.3L for cheap. The '97 has SCPI injection and the '01 has MPI right? My question is can I use the 97 engine and just swap the intake/fuel injection system over or do I have to get a 99-02 4.3l? I don't see anything shy of the intakes perhaps not bolting up right that would stop me from doing this swap. I move in a week so I need to get this done ASAP and can't afford any hangups! Thanks!
