if after market heads are installed does the computer on a 2000 silverado have to have a special tune or does it recognize and adjust on its own?

I'd say unless they significantly increased or decreased the compression ratio, they should be a direct bolt on.

okay i'll have to do a little research on the heads..what type of modifications to heads would increase the compression ratio??? if any
