Help! dropped in a k&n air filter yesterday, managed to drop a screw found it, but dropped it again and lost it! would there be a part number for hardware? any recommendations?
I'd hate to drive out to a wrecker to pull one screw out and find out its the wrong one >_<

Yes. GM does have a harware book at the dealer but after you find it is 20 dollars for one box of screws, you are better off finding one from a "wrecker" as you stated.

I have had great luck at the dealer with small parts like clips and screws. Usually under a dollar each, just be prepared for them to have to order them. At least the dealer I frequent didn't keep a lot of misc parts for my 02. I haven't needed anything small for the 07 yet.

8.60 something a screw, yowch for one screw!?! they started using them in 02 and used on the avalanche as well (I'm assuming sierra too) so I'm sure I'll have some luck at the wrecker!

Pull one of the others and take it to a hardware store. There is nothing special about the fastener, other than be a torx head if I recall properly....you should be able to match up threads.
