10L80. I'll have the VB out and was wondering if anybody has done any VB upgrades worth while? I see Suncoast sells a whole upgraded one for 1300 and another place I forget the name sells a kit for 799

Here's everything Sonnax offers for the Gen2 10-speeds:

I haven't gotten into 10-speeds just yet so can't answer too much in the way of tech questions; not sure anyone on here has...You can reach out to Sonnax's tech support line if need be - they're very helpful.

Is what it is...yes, call Suncoast

Might also help if you let us know the year/make/model/engine/drivetrain/trim level truck you have.
That would make too much sense...Better to have us guess vs give us actionable information to get him answers faster, lol.

Transmission just started acting up yesterday was thinking about upgrading to the suncoast vb and pump looking for anyone that has experience or information. Before I make the purchase.
Start a new thread in the appropriate sub-forum for your year/model vehicle vs strap hanging onto someone else's topic.

10l80 2020 silverado lt trailboss 6.2l ...SAME trans as the original post... Started shifting hard on downshift and slipping under throttle causing rpm's to climb higher than normal. From the research I've done it i common for the valve body to fail. I was just curious if anyone has any experience with the suncoast vb and pump. And if there is anything else I would need to clear codes once it is changed out

It literally just started slipping on the way home from work yesterday so I'm hoping that it's just the vb failing and didn't damage anything else I can leave it sitting until I get it changed out. I went ahead and ordered the vb and pump. From what I found online gm will just replace it with the same oem vb that everyone is having issues with so I'd rather go with suncoast and hope I don't have to go thru this again.
