Hey guys, I purchased a 2012 Silverado z71 LT last Saturday and it already came with a leveling kit and mud grip 33's and the tires I have just about determined are about 60ish lbs each, and I was wondering if I go with the Atturo X/T 33x12.5x20 and replace the stock wheels (18's) with maybe some lighter XD's (if possible) and get a few more MPG's. Currently getting 11.7mpg

MPG gain would be marginal. And those are junky tires that won't last

What would you suggest then?

I'd like to keep that agressive look. I'd really like KO2's but I can't seem to find a 33x12.5x20..Might still decide to go with them and settle with 33x12.5x18

Pass on those tires ASAP. Go with the KO2s. I had the trail Blades and they didn't last as long as I expected.

Yup. Atturo makes some junk tires. Many of theirs only last 10-20k miles. Any money saved by increase in mpg would be spent on tires. BFG KO2 is an excellent tire. Personally I have run Hankook Dynapro ATM on 5 trucks now and never gotten under 50,000 miles per set.

Or you could go with the Nitto trail graps. I got over 55 k on mine before I switched to Goodyear Duratracs, and actually got better gas mileage than with the duratracts which are a smaller, lighter tire. Still can't figure that one out.

you must have a 2500 with that gas mileage.

I had a '11 1500 on 33's and got 15mpg all day and i thought that was bad. 17mpg on highway tires

It's definitely a 1500. I am thinking that it is the tires for sure though. I have a friend that gets 15 with his 33's on 20's.

I don't have a lead foot so that isn't the problem..

What would be equivalent on the 33x12.5x18 on the KO2's? I don't know how to really read numbers on them.

I believe that this might work, but they may rub and I think that it is an 18" wheel but it says that measured rim is 10" what does that mean?

you will rub with anything larger than a 33 with just a level. and it means they measured the actual height while mounted on a 10in wheel. the height would be different on a 8.5in stock wheel.
