DIY took a turn. I was attempting to swap the old exhaust pipes for the MBRP dual 2.5” side shoots on my 07 Silverado CC 5’8 bed. But the electric impact went a little ham and sheered the second outer bolt off. How do I remove it to replace it with another one to finish the job? I really don’t want to pay an arm & leg for a shop to do it.
An air hammer takes those out faster and easier than drilling. They are splined drive in bolts if you look closely. Just went throught this installing a cat back exhaust.
I would put a nut on the stub sticking out and then weld it up in the inside hole of the nut.
You now can use a socket and the heat helps it come right out.
Yes everyone needs welders!
I can see the splines in the photo now...hmmmm. They can't make a lifter worth crap but they did this right.
