Can someone verify that this will all work together? ie won't rub! Wanna get it right the first time, biggest I'd ever wanna take the truck is a 33. I don't understand backspacing of wheels so that's my main worry I guess

Thanks in advance! Will hopefully be ordering this week, assuming none of yall say it's a bad setup!

My 17x9 with +12 offset on 285/70/17's didn't rub when I had them on with a 2.5" level kit. So IMO I think you'll be fine with the bottom wheels also.

Cooper Discoverer ATP's in 285/70R17 with just a RC 2.5" level. Little rubbing on full lock in reverse but i trimmed the front wheel well liner to minimize it.

Damn, I don't wanna deal with rubbing and shit.

Would I be better off running a 18X8.5 6-139.7 10mtb?

If so what size tire is equivalent to the 285/70r17?

Don't be afraid of a little rubbing. It can be very easily trimmed down, without a lot of work, or having it look bad in any way. We're talking about an area of the truck very few people will look at directly. Wheels and tires, yes.. Inside of wheel well and fender, not so much.

I have a set of 285's on stock 17's, with an RC level kit and 4" blocks.. No rubbing, left me with about 1/4 inch at full lock.

And I would go with the 2nd set of wheels. I like that little skull thing. But either way, if you do it all, it will look pretty kick ass, and you should be very happy.

Don't forget, post pics of the completion, or it never happened...
